7 Days Sailing in the Balearic Islands: Day 3 & 4

By August 26, 2019April 8th, 2021Blog

A 7-day sailing charter from Mallorca is the perfect length of time to explore the natural beauty, diverse history, and delicious food of The Balearic Islands, a stunning archipelago scattered off the Spanish east coast.  If you haven’t already, check out our guide to days 1 & 2 in the Balearic Islands here.

Day 3: Sa Rápita

After spending day 2 in the glamorous Port d’Andtrax, relax on a slightly longer sail back past your starting point of Palma de Mallorca to the idyllic spot of Sa Rápita. Once ashore, you’ll be able to stretch your sea legs on Es Trenc, widely regarded as the most stunning beaches in the Balearic Islands. Two miles of pristine white sand meets the clear blue sea on this part of the coast which will make you feel like you’ve truly found paradise. The secluded Sa Rápita is a tricky spot to reach except by boat, making it a quiet oasis only travelled to by those in the know. You’ll leave the next morning feeling like you’ve been let in on one of the Mediterranean’s best-kept secrets!

Day 4: Porto Cristo

On day 4 you’ll reach the furthest east point of your journey into the Balearic Isles, the traditional fishing village of Porto Cristo. Onshore, experience a tapestry of Spanish life in colourful little village houses and tapas bars. Under the waves you can explore Cuevas del Drach (Dragon Caves), an interconnected underground group of caves that are lit up by the Mediterranean sun glowing through the stunning blue waters.
