The first step to planning your trip is making sure you have all your travel tech under control! It can be overwhelming to try and decide which gadgets you should pack to make the most of your trip, so we’ve cut it down to a handy list of 5 travel tech must haves that will make your next holiday run as smoothly as possible!1. Waterproof Camera

A waterproof camera can make all the difference to catching your perfect holiday snap! This is especially the case if you’re trying to capture memories on a sailing trip. Depending on your budget there’s a huge range of cameras on offer, some of the most famous models like the GoPro have become so known due to their ease and versatility in capturing action shots of holiday fun. If you’re not prepared to commit to a big price tag, disposable waterproof cameras are a great way to catch quick moments of your coastal adventure!

2. Film Camera

On the topic of cameras, film cameras are an incredible way to capture and keep raw snapshots of your travels. The “point and shoot” nature of film ensures that you will capture the organic moments of your trip that you don’t want to forget! Like waterproof cameras, there is huge scope for what you can spend on film cameras. Some of the most popular models are those similar to the Fuji Instax Mini range which are lightweight producers of great instant polaroids. Alternatively, disposable film cameras are an affordable way to take lots of shots whilst abroad and get to relive them once they’re developed at home.

3. Battery Pack

Limited access to power outlets can be a nightmare when travelling, especially if you’re with a group that are all trying to share the some source! So battery packs are essential to avoid being left stuck with access to your phone and any maps/tickets/emails/etc. which may be on it.

4. Monzo Card

A Monzo Card (or similar all online bank) is a great way to keep track of your spending abroad. When you go abroad, Monzo passes on the Matercard exchange rate with no additional fees, it gives you clear updates and statistics on your balance and spending, and even gives you a travel report when you get home so you can see how much you’ve spent. To make things even easier, Monzo’s nature as an exclusively online bank means that if you encounter any issues you can get in contact and fix them through a live chat so you can get on with your holiday! (Their bright coloured cards are also pretty hard to lose…)

5. Here App

Speaking of money, our last tech must have will be sure to stop your phone bill from sky rocketing whilst abroad! The Here app is a great gadget that lets you download maps of cities and countries whilst your connected to wifi so that you can use them offline as much as you like.
