No sailing experience is required—we’ll pair your group with one of our trusted skippers, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey. Let us handle the details while you focus on having a memorable experience.

Step 2 – Decide on Your Sailing Destination and Dates

The beauty of sailing lies in the seamless combination of transport and accommodation, offering an endless array of sailing destinations. Check out our destinations page for inspiration. Whether you’re interested in island hopping in Greece, exploring the breathtaking coasts of Croatia, tasting the delicious cuisine of Italy, or relaxing in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean, there’s a perfect destination for every sailor.

The Mediterranean is ideal for exploration during the summer months (May – October), while the Caribbean is best enjoyed over the winter period. Select a week (or two, or more!) that fits your group and budget. Charters typically start on a Saturday and and customised itineraries can be tailored to your preferences.

Step 3 – Send us an enquiry

Send an enquiry to The Big Sail, and our team of experts will review current yacht availability for your chosen destination. We’ll shortlist the best yachts to fit your group size, budget and all other requirements. You’ll receive a tailor-made quote that includes a sample itinerary for your preferred destination and a selection of available yachts to choose from.

Once you have this information, it’s up to you to select the yacht that best meets your group’s needs. Feel free to reach out with any questions—our goal is to find the perfect yacht for you, no matter your group size or budget, and to ensure you enjoy an amazing sailing holiday!

Step 4 – Confirm & Relax

Once you’re satisfied with the details, you’ve successfully planned your perfect summer sailing getaway! To secure your reservation, we’ll request a 50% deposit of the total booking amount, with the final 50% due 6 weeks before departure. After that, simply book your flight or travel to your destination. Then, sit back, relax, and look forward to creating amazing sailing memories.

New to sailing? Don’t meet the minimum certification level or simply wish to relax and let someone else take control?

No problem. We have qualified skippers who will do the hard work for you. Skippers know the best routes, where’s good to stop and swim, and where to go in the evenings. They are fully qualified & experienced and will ensure you have the best time possible!
